What a seat actually costs
The true cost of one participant — preparation, a screened and supervised experience, and structured integration — is approximately $7,500. Each retreat seats eight people: six to seven sponsored veterans and first responders, plus one or two mission-sustaining participants whose self-funded seat is priced above cost so the difference subsidizes scholarships.
That $7,500 covers
- Retreat and facility costs
- Clinical staff, including an M.D. on site
- One nurse assigned to each participant
- EMTs on site throughout
- All meals, on site and off
- All in-country transportation
Travel to and from Mexico is not included in the seat cost.
A limited number of civilian participants help make it possible for those who served to attend at little or no cost. Donor gifts are never replacing paying clients — they close the gap that mission-sustaining seats cannot. Donations are directed to their stated purpose, and we maintain records that allow that use to be verified.
