Rob Moore
Founder & Executive Director
For more than three decades, Robert Moore has dedicated his life to service—to his family, his country, and to helping others find a path forward after difficult experiences.
Robert has been married to his wife, Cristina, for 30 years. Together, they have raised four children and are now proud grandparents to a granddaughter. Family remains at the center of Robert’s life and is one of the greatest sources of meaning and purpose in everything he does.
A mechanical engineer by training, Robert spent more than 20 years serving as a U.S. Army Combat Engineer Officer. His military career took him around the world and included four combat tours, where he experienced firsthand the extraordinary demands, sacrifices, and challenges faced by service members and their families.
His military decorations include the Legion of Merit, three Bronze Stars, and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor, among numerous other awards and recognitions. While these honors reflect his accomplishments in uniform, Robert believes that his most important lessons from military service have come from the people he served alongside—their courage, resilience, struggles, and determination to keep moving forward.
Those experiences ultimately shaped the vision behind the Deep Root Healing Foundation.
His healing journey includes ayahuasca ceremonies deep in the Peruvian Amazon, traditional Bwiti Igoga therapy in Costa Rica and Ibogaine treatments in Mexico. Deep Root Healing Foundation was created as a result of these experiences. He believes that individuals who have endured trauma, loss, or profound life challenges deserve the opportunity to reconnect with themselves, rebuild their foundations, and discover a renewed sense of purpose.
Today, Robert brings together his experience as an engineer, military leader, husband, father, grandfather, and fellow traveler through life's challenges to support others on their own journeys. He approaches this work with humility, compassion, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for help and to confront the parts of ourselves that may have been buried for years.
For Robert, Deep Root Healing Foundation is not simply an organization. It is a continuation of a lifetime devoted to service—extending the commitment he made as a young Army officer to stand beside others when they need it most.
